L. Douglas Waldorf as a Firefighter
L. Douglas Waldorf was a Volunteer Firefighter. Doug Waldorf was trained as a Fireman while serving in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. Doug and Olive Waldorf lived on Davis Street in Virginia Beach, Virginia, right beside the Fire Station, and Olive took the calls with a baby on her hip, sounded the alarm, and Doug and his fellow fire fighters were off to fight the fire.
