As a youth I remember Bro. Waldorf at church in Norfolk. My parents and I met them and I had a brief crush on their son Rod. Over the years I have wondered what had happened to the Waldorf's. I knew he and his family had worked on the Outerbanks of NC but never had the opportunity to go to the program. I always thought a lot of the Waldorf Family and am sorry to hear of Bro. Waldorf's passing. He was unique and a very special man who helped teach wonderful and important things about his native family (as well as mine).the Indians. Thank you Bro. Waldorf and Family for all you have done to serve your fellowman. May your family be blessed and guided in the coming days and years.
I am the daughter of Maurice and Grace Thompson. We lived in Hampton for 30+ years, but met you all shortly after we moved to VA from NC in 1958. My brother's name is Fred Thompson (formerly Freddie) and he is now retired. He and his wife live on the Outerbanks of NC and love it very much.
Bell Norris Woods e-mailed me about Bro. Waldorf and I forwarded it to those whom I knew would know him.
Thanks again for your wonderful contribution to the world Bro. Waldorf. |

I remember going to Frontier City at Vriginia Beach when I was a child. It was so much fun. I remember my uncle would remind me "dont take any wooden nickels". I often have wondered where in Virginia Beach it was actually located. Since I was an only child, it was great to find this site and have others say they remember it, too. |

| I enjoyed the site. The pictures of Frontier City brought back memories from my childhood. My husband and I were wondering where in Va Beach Frontier City was located. we remember going, but we have no idea where it was. We were thinking that it was either off Indian River Road or Laskin Road. Can you help? Blesings, Lori |

| I have seen all segments of the Fireside Lecture Series in person and found each one informative and interesting. I own the first DVD "Legend of the White God" and am looking forward to the release of each successive fireside discussion. I have had Doug in my home and enjoyed every minute of the discussions we had. He is so knowledgeable and has such a vast expanse of life experiences and learning! Never a dull moment! Thank you Doug! |

| I found L. Douglas Waldorf to be a historian and scripturian par excellence! This series of firesides, and soon to be released videos, of which I was privileged to review the scripts, provide a spiritual feast for those seeking truths in their quest for excellence. He encouraged me to seek beyond the end of my nose for scripture answers to such questions as “ Do any of us go directly to heaven when we die, and just where is this place that we go located?”; “Is there a hell, and , if so, who is in charge of it, and will any of us have to stay there forever?”; “Did God ever send a female spirit to a male body or vice versa, and if not, how do homosexuals come to be, and what can be done about it?”; “Did the Church of Jesus Christ begin with the birth of a babe in Bethlehem or, for that matter, with the vision of Joseph Smith, and, if not, where did it begin, and how do we find God’s church today?” (this is such a great visual presentation!), and “Does God speak to his people in current times, and if not, why not?” |
