WTAR RADIO'S. . ."Wally Douglas", who controls the latch string on WTAR's "Open House" at noon each day, has been in local broadcasting fourteen years. A professional muscian, born of a professional musician, "Douglas" is knowing on the subject.  His scrapbook shows a long line of associations with all-time greats.
The host of "Open House" has written a historic pageant in two acts dealing with the life of the Indians in the Tidewater area prior to the Jamestown settlement. He is active as a Boy Scout leader and is a frequent lecturer to youth groups.  Indian lore is his hobby and dig this . . . for Wally does . . .archaelogy is his favorite pasttime.
Currently, "Wally" is compiling a catalog of music with titles of songs categorized by subject.
By popular demand, "Wally Douglas'" music show has been lengthened into the WTAR afternoon. And "Open House" keeps a closed door to unlistenable music, as Wally targets for sound, sane sound.
